here are a few pics of the old boot with lots of rust




some of them bits were holes.nothing new on a mk 3 then
here are the pics of the new bootlid fitted a sprayed





there is no rust on this boot i got it of a mate who scrapped his red mk3 pop van

Same as my old one, really bad around the wiper and lock. Used to find bits of rust stuck in the boot carpet ALL the time

Only way is to replace, pity i was £200 for a brand new one

Is that tipex in the corner of your old tailgate?

New one looks alot cleaner!

i dont know what it is i think it was hammerite any way the new one is mint and it loks superb but i need to change the rear window for my old one as the heater eliments work better does any one know how to do it

Dont you mean you want to change the window for your old one because its green tinted?

Its quite easy!

Pop it out from the inside, Bottom corner is easyer.

Then to put the old one in you need to put wire in round the egde, slot the top in (using some wd40 or sillicone spray i found to get it in round the spoiler) then pull the wire to pop the seal back inside.

I helped Still dont think its actually in properly anyway lol.

its done. wasnt that hard to get in my mate helped he had done a few before
now it looks good

yes i did but the other one that was tinted aswell dont know why because it was in a red pop 1.1 van
