Car or otherwise, what are you planning to achieve this year?

My main objective is to get a place closer to work. Im pretty sure i said the same thing last year, but its a bit more of a realistic prospect now

car plans are get the car back on the road in time for central day..take it up the strip and on the rollers...then hopefully spend the rest of the year enjoying it...

My car plans are to get the rst finished and back on the road again for ford fair, and then maybe even get the 2.0ltr fitted to my mk3 5 door sleeper project.

We'll have to see!

car wise fit my cts stg2 box ap clutch (this weekend) fix oil leaks fit the mangament/map it and crank the boost up

im thinking about painting the car this year to and adding some carbon as its becoming more of a toy and when i get a van thats all it will be

Car plans are to :-

1) Complete FRST resoration for March/April so I can have some summer fun in it and use it a bit .

2) Fit 2 litre zetec turbo to my RS1800 by August so I can use this in the winter months saving the FRST from salt , and before I hear people say its not good doing that to an RS1800 I will be keeping EVERYTHING I need to put it back to RS1800 spec

3) Get my lathe and mill sorted for more fabrication work for next project ( Cosworth engined MK3 Fiesta 4X4 )

Think thats enough for one year

Unfortunately I doubt I will get to use the FRST for another year, infact it will probably not even get the covers lifted as often anymore.

Finish the Focus, get if featured, sell it, replace it with something else wearing the Blue Oval.

Sort out my sabbatical, avoid relegation, buy some more property, try some new things and make the most of any opportunities that arise.

Car wise i want to get the RS1800 inn good shape so fully detail the exterior and get the spoiler taken off and respray boot, Mk5 RS2k Alloys then raid Rattys car when he breaks it lol.

Car-wise: lower 40mm (next week)
send in for stainless system ( 2 weeks)
fit splitter (in process)
fit recaro interior ( did but front seats wouldnt fit as werent from a fez- old owner welder its runners to the floor)
find new interior
de-rust rear valance ( tiny amount ) and respray


later in the year-
start sourcing parts for 2.0l conversion

Car-related: attend fitp for first time
attend ford fair for 2nd time


Life-wise: find better job ( may have found one as a upholsterer)
find a flat with the missus's ( search is ongoing )

my plans 4 the yr r 2 fix my mk6 rs2k (which i bought with little damage 2 the front end) so i can use it as a run around while i totally strip my black frst so i can sandblast the floor and get the whole car resprayed and build a 250-270 bhp zvh!

also get my 2wd saph cossie fully rubed down and resprayed and made in2 a 400bhp toy (altho 2 b fair cossie has been a on going project 4 1or 2 yrs now)

and clean out my 2 sheds full of frst and ford stuff

and decide what im doin with my grey frst shell that i just dont hav the time 2 do anything with but dont want 2 part with

yip alot 2 do in 1 yr but what the hell worth a shot

my plans this year is to get my fiesta xr2i in a couple of weeks an do a turbo conversion.
will prob do a resto on it to an do resto with my girlfriend on her xr2i as well

well car wise:
1.get it running
2.save up for a respray in mid year
3.have fun and just enjoy the drive
4.find a cheaper garage to rent unlike the one im in now £100 for a tiny garage its killing me might go for unit for £300pm if enybody want to share lol

and me well think its time to find a girl lol (whats one of them again lol not had one in 5years argh how sad am i. ive spent 5 years in my garage i think i need to get a life

and i need to start going to all the car shows this year.
