My car history (yes, i'm bored) *UPDATE 05/04/09*
OK, well I thought I'd do a little history post of my previous cars because I've nothing better to do.
My first car was a mk2 ghia, bought for my sister and I to learn to drive in, no pictures sadly. This was deemed too rusty to bother with after an MOT so my parents got a mk3.5 1.1. I passed my test and drove around in this for a few months, as much as i appreciated my parents buying it, i HATE having things bought for me so was quickly on the look out for an Si.
The plan was to use a lot of XR2i bits so I figured it would work out cheaper to buy a whole one and break it. (sadly I dont have any pics of this in one piece) I kept a lot of parts and sold the rest, this was when I was pretty inexperienced with cars and it was good fun ripping it apart, although I didn't really touch the engine.

Then I got my Si (which is still work in progress):

I then had to move to uni up north and didn't trust my pride and joy to stay safe, so I bought a run-around in the form of the rolla colla. I was still a bit of a noob with car mechanics and I learned a lot doing odd jobs on this but was then thrown in at the 'deep' end when the inner CV joint expolded on the motorway:
As I bought it (for £190):

As I sold it (for £425):

As I was without a car, i needed something asap and a friend of the family had a basket case of a 405 that he only wanted pennies for. I did a lot of jobs to the car and it was a never ending list of things to fix, I got so fed up that I took a metal bar to it and sold it without lining up another car.
As I bought it (for £30)

As I sold it (for £200), this picture is of the good side, make no mistake, this was and always will be a crap car.

After frantically looking for another car I found a Vectra which I then owned for around 3 months, but I still longed for rwd:
As I bought it (for £475)

As I sold it (for £1000)

While I still had the vectra I was browsing ebay and saw this e34 that was just up the road, I had to have a look at it and it ended up being a bit of a impulse buy.
As I bought it (for £450)

As I sold it (for £1500)

UPDATE:
As you all know, when I sold the BM i needed another car pretty sharpish, well only 16 cars later I found this Honda Accord. It was a bit of a gamble and needed some work, but I think i was lucky.
As I bought it (for £600)

As I sold it (for £950)

All of these cars were bought needing varying amounts of work and money putting into them but there you have it, my car history.
What will be next?......christ knows lol
Update: 05/04/09
I'd been wanting to sell the Accord to make way for something diesel pretty much ever since I bought it, and Alex (capri) knew of something that fit the bill through a friend, so a few miles later I purchased this.
As I bought it (for £700)

As I sold it today in a bloody tough market (for £800)

When I bought it I had no intention of trying to sell it on for a profit, it just happened to be what I needed at the time. After spending some time with it I realised what a good car it was/is but again it was what I needed so I kept it. Now though I want to move on so it was advertised in the usual places and due to the market, it was a lot harder to sell than I thought, but I managed in the end
so to cover the cost of the money I put into it (new brakes and a few other odds and sods) I'm more than happy. Now...what next?

I read it, but I probably fell asleep when I went to reply

I noticed a pattern in which you always seem to make a profit on the cars you sell

I have parts for sale!!!!.....Nice parts too!!!

That's the plan
and I intend to keep it that way.
Like i say, they were all bought needing varying amounts of work/money putting into them so those figures dont take that into account, but so far the only car that i've lost money on is the Peugeot where it just KEPT going wrong and I got fed up. I was glad to see the back of it though, even if it cost me.
I'm struggling to find another car at the moment though

Love how you sell them all for a profit! Do you still have the pride and joy fez then?

Sadly not, that's being broken at the moment (more details on why in the link in the for sale post). As for the profit, like I say, those figures don't take into account any money I put into them but so far the only loser has been that damned 405 lol. There is a lot to be said for a well prepared car and a good advert though.
