My boot won't open????

Problem or technical question?

Postby Starky on Tue Oct 23, 2001 4:27 am

My boot doesn't seem to want to open!! It won't pop open if I use the switch or my boot pop on my alarm??
Does anyone know what could be wrong with it? Could it be a fuse or somin??

My boot wouldn't open when I filled it with expanding foam

Had to cut the foam away from the locking mechanism.

So that could have got stuck somehow?

How many times folks?!

Cut the plastic anti-rattle tape away from the boot latch pin.

9 out of 10 Fiesta boot releases prefer working after this mod than any other

Yeah, sounds mechanical in your case Starky.

Zetec, run an earth wire around the various bits an bobs in the boot and the out along the washer tubing and onto the chassis. Your prob sounds electrical (does you de-mister take ages to work properly too??)
