went to trents today and was looking around the yard when i saw a red

mk1 capri that looked mint just sat there

im guessing its come in as scrappage as i couldnt see any damage on it


will upload a pic later and take some more tomoz

they also had a mk2 escort last year a scimitar

and have had loads of old minis in too


cant believe the cars that are getting thrown away


anybody else seen anything in there local scrapyards????

There was a link on retro rides about that capri...if its the same place . There was a datsun there too,70's model mint too

Some guy bought the datsun whole and chopped it up for spares and he's cutting everything off..and i mean everything !!

So at least its helping his other datsun.

I worked in a scrap yard for a year a while ago, it's the untaxed motors that scare you the most! I had to crush some poor sods mk4 escort cabriolet with half leather recaros, RS turbo engine, mc rallying cossie kit & 17" rims on it! Also a 2 year old megane 16V!!! Pity the boss was a bit of a wa**er, 'cos i'd have loved to strip that cabrio!!
