Ok so i've spoken to a few people and i thought i would post up some provisional times/places to meet for the convoy to Ford fair. I'm definately open to ideas and suggestions. As i say these are provisional times so keep an eye on this thread. If anyone else would prefer to organise things let me know!

Right here goes:



Blue flag - Lakeside
Small orange flag - South Mimms
Big orange flag - Silverstone

Meet at lakeside services (just as FITP) to leave at 5:30am

Arrive at South mimms services at around 6:10 to leave at 6:30am

Arrive at Silverstone at just before 8 - show opens at 9

Show opens at 9 so obviously the earlier the better - to try and beat the queues. Hopefully arriving just before 8 will enable vix to get the stand sorted in time.

the show opens at 9...so factor in time for traffic, people being late, and queues to get in. i'm not gonna be left with half hour to organise like 40 cars!

i'll probably be driving up the night before anyway!

I live next door to Protune now, so I think I'm a fairly safe bet on being there ^_^

Thats the plan, should be hitting the A43 at around half 7 i think.

I've added a route plan at the top from south mimms to silverstone, but im pretty sure its sign-posted along the M1 anyway.

Lol, Lakeside is the blue flag, and South Mimms is the small Orange flag. The big orange flag being Silverstone

If you want to take a detour, i think your best bet would be to come down the M11, onto the M25 and head anti-clockwise towards the M1, and then meet us at South Mimms services.

That is quite a detour though. Let me know if you do want to meet there for definate, as i dont want you taking a massive detour to then end up missing the convoy!

still seeing as i cant get to fordfair some very kind chap has offered to come pick me up and drop me back at end of day, and there coming from london
worst bit is i gota get the 3am boat to portmouth for him to pick me up at 4 and try and make it to the meet by 6.15

and the wife informed me yesterday im taking her out for her birthday on the evening of the 4th
