hiya, i am the 1 of the resident BB 1.1 modders, my old fester didnt hav rev counter, just buy the dials the same as would b the turbo/xr2i etc and chuck the rev counter bit away, I know the Autotint ones would fit and the lockwood ones, not sure about any other brands though. The lockwood ones even come with 150mph speedo handy for you lads and ladies running on 17s wanting ur speedo correct.

hope it helps
Fraser
www.fm-design.co.uk/fiesta

Where can i find some white dials for a Mk3 1.1? The only ones i have seen are for mk3's with rev counters. Does anyone make them for dashes without rev counters or can the dial kits be modified to fit?

any advice appreciated.

Cheers. Andy

Have a look under your bonnet - there should be an ignition module on the bulkhead, center rear. Count the number of wires and their colours, let me know and we can work out which one to cut. Mine was the left most as you look at it, but there were 3 different systems used on Fezzers.

Nb my 1.1 had 120mph clocks as standard. Not a lot of chance of it going above that, now!
I think the speed of the clocks related to the gearbox - 120mph clocks on 4 speeders, maybe?? Or 4 speeders and 1.0s? Who cares?!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!

Don't go it!

Aren't your clocks 120mph jobs?

They won't read right AT ALL! You'll be doing 130 in 3rd (according to the speedo!)

Get the right clocks from a scrappies - ANY from a car other than 1.6S or 1.4 (basically, any car without a diz and coil ign system) - they plug straight in (you may have to connect the rev counter yerself, tho).

My car is in the garage at the moment getting the wheels balanced and seen as i have only had it a couple of weeks i cant remember whether it has a 120 or 140mph speedo. I am guessing that because its a 1.1 5spd on an N plate, that it will be 140mph. In which case i take it the lockwood dials will fit. However, i was thinking of going down the scrappies to see if i can get hold of an LX model dash with a rev counter. Are they a s***load of hassle to fit?

Andy

Louise, I'm so sorry to mess you about like this, but I've tried to post a message on the Fiesta Enthusiasts site (I think I've been locked out!) - my engine seized and took alt, starter motor and battery with it on Saturday night. I'm a bit stranded now, and the car's in London.

I don't think I'm gonna see it working for a few months now - it looks like I'm gonna have to take these people to court to get the engine replaced.

(sobbing)
