Re: belgian xr2i 1.8 16v (24/09/08) fan
it's alive again
i'll have to say, it sounds like a beast
and it drives much better than before, fast throtle response, and it pulls through the revs like hell

the new fan in place

st170 manifold

just missing the starter

had to chop a bit from the carter to alow the lamda to fit

the rest of the exhaust

little sound clip

Re: belgian xr2i 1.8 16v (20/10/08) timing belt
i removed the belt again and changed the waterpump while i was at it
old vs new

all fitted back and running again
i bought a cross-over from a frst and modded it
as i got it( it's modded to fit a zetec rocker cover by area six)

and how it is now
removed the pipe on the left and welded 2 holes up and from "turbo" to "RS"

not ready though

a bit more
cylinder head cover of

at first site all looks good, when i removed the cams 1 of the bearingcaps had som blue colloring on it and there where some with marks on them, and where the camshaft meets the bearing there where some marks on them
the cams have been out before because the bearingcaps where marked, but when they refitted them they where possisioned the wrong way, i suspect this is the reason for the faults, and bad oil ofcourse
the bores and tops of the pistons look good imo

Re: belgian xr2i 1.8 16v (17/11/09)fiestaST brakes
Nice, love st brakes , also love the colour
but if you're planning on doing a rear disk conversion you have to know somebody at Goca (MOT in Belgium) because it's illegal to do that
Stupid laws in Belgium

thanks for the repley
i'm not going to use rear disks, they are not mot proof in belgium, same as the front disks.
