For the bonnet try www.cathburncustoms.co.uk or you could just do what my mate is doing: get a welder to weld the plates on then get the bonnet smoothed and painted at a bodyshop.

As for the cage, I think almost everyone here is after one!! Only JJ has one and he's not letting on as to where it came from!

It seems to be that they are either custom made, or bought in black from places like the Rollcenter and Safety Devices, then chromed / polished.

Do you have a Fiesta or Escort?

Adrian.

shame really JJ, when people come here for advice on where to get something they want yet people seem to think that if they got something the same such as a rollcage, everyday folk would compare to someone else's, even if they live at opposite ends of the country! sad world!

PaulCR,

Bad-boy bonnets are pretty easy to do - get someone to weld plates onto the bonnet in the shape you want, then fill and spray. I had mine leaded instead of filled, which means there's no filler, so no chance of it flexing/cracking.

Cages....mine was custom made for me, but most places sell 'em. Spec-R do 3" ally ones - bit too big though!! Or try Demon Tweaks.

[Edited by JJ (01-08-2000 at 01:40 PM).]

You're more than entitled to your opinion and the advice I gave out on the bad-boy bonnet was good, ditto Adrian's. As for the cage, I'm not against anyone putting a cage in their FRST and nor did I suggest it was copying.

[Edited by JJ (10-08-2000 at 11:10 AM).]
