Anti Roll Bar Bracket fitting ??? AM I BEING SPECIAL ??

Hi Guys

as we all probably know the rear anti roll bar brackets are made out of crap metal , rust , and then snap leaving you with this....

SUPER BASTERD

ive actually managed to source a new one from a ford dealer , yes thats right you heard ( they dont make them anymore if you didnt know )

but now comes fitting it, looking at the bar im now guessing i have to take the whole bar off ?

Nothing major but just wanted to know , the reason i ask is, the bracket i brought does not come with a rubber inside. so how do i get the original snapped one off, and how do i get the new one on ? as there is no way it will slip over the end of that bar ? , i even tried to see if that was a bolt that undid on the end of the bar so you could slide it over, ( sensible thing to do Ford ! ) but its not.

HELP please its making my car that much more s**t....

I leave the bar on, just gently pry it a small distance away from the beam so you have room to slide on the new bracket.

as said, bend the bracket open and then clamp it round the bush.
be warned, they can be fcukers at times as it wont bend back fully meaning you cant bet the bolt in far enough to grab the nut, or worse still, it bend back round to the point the holes dont line up.

sometimes though it can be a simple quick job that goes right
i always have a G clamp to hand when i do one of these now
