will MK5a (rs2000) rear shocks fit the MK3 fiesta ??

Postby Jur on Mon Jul 19, 2004 10:51 am

I've been told MK5a RS2000 rear shocks (koni yellow) will fit the fiesta mk3.. they are shorter .. but will be a straight swap ..

koni's for the MK5 escort are less harder to find (2nd hand) here in holland.. and thus much cheaper (-:
.. koni's for Fiesta MK3 .. are nowhere to be found (2nd hand) in holland

Can anyone confirm ..or disconfirm it ??

this may be correct, due to the cars using similar rear beams but ive not heard of it before

look at the top mount in a mk5a and compare it to a mk3 fiesta?

Hi,

I've heard that the rear suspenson of Escort Mk5a is the same as Fiesta Mk4, not Mk3.

I am not 100% sure though.

Hi been a long time since you did this thread but just wondered if you found out if the escort shocks fit the fiesta or not? The reason I ask is I have some nearly new gaz coilovers for a rs2000 mk5a left over from an old project and now have a fiesta rs turbo with nasty g max suspension and thought if they would fit then why not make some use of them.Cheers for any help in advance.

Wow.. this topic is of 9 years back.. and still have the same fiesta.. but I have since then sourced several sets of koni yellow rear shockd for the mk3 fiesta.. so never tried the rs2000 ones.. even not bought a set.

So cant tell..
