which engine should I use?

I am purchasing a 1.3 mk4 escort bonus soon. Its already a turbo replica but i want to change the engine. But I can't decide which engine to use either RS turbo efi or stick with a 1.6 crossflow with twin 40's or cvh or zetec. Cheers

Is buying a series 2 requiring work not an option for you?
That way you can have the RS power and originality and a car that will only increase in value.

Having owned both fiesta and escort rs turbo's I would say the EFI fiesta route would be much easier than messing around with the escorts old Bosch injection system. Only down side with fiesta running gear is that you don't get an LSD.

Carbs are always an option but depends on what you want.

I stuck an RS2000 2.0 16v in my mk3 fiesta. Purely because it was different. Heavier than most though but good torque and 150bhp from the box. All depends on the characteristics you want i guess
