I fixed one thing and 3 more went wrong. Had a few rust issues too so gave up and got a new one :)

Also to update, the exhaust is hidden a bit better now:

Ghia 16v's are ripe for conversions, and one with elecy mirrors, nice!

Just remember to replace the front arb for the sports model version.

Bumpers and bootlid now fitted so thought I'd post some more pics up :) Bootlid still needs a bit of aligning though but will sort that whenever.

Yeah something along those lines. with the amount of silver bits there are it'd probably be the same price to go Moondust as it would be to keep it blue.

Nah it will be cheeper that way my friend bought a white merc 190 but wanted it to be black so bought loads of random black parts over time and swapped them and then got the shell blown over for about 500 pounds.

Small update. Not really done much as I want to replace the sill before I put the arch kit on. Pics of the sill and a bit of de-striping which has taken some of the laquer off on the wing :(

Cash and weather are the 2 problems now. once the sill's been done then the archkit can go on, after that it's just saving to have it and the wheels resprayed an tyres put on them (had my RS1800s nicked so had to get another set :()

Lol @ that picture in both posts

I haven't copied anyone, I've done what I wanted to do, that's like me saying you copied everyone else who had white wheels!

apologies to the owners of these pics for pinching them!
White wheels:

and as mine's currently sitting on FRST wheels, this one sort of gives me the nod to keep it blue:

Keep it blue! I like that a lot!! Lovely colour :) One of my all-time FT.com favourites was the same colour, RobNo1's car :)

Nice car that is too! It's quite likely to stay blue now but what shade is another question. Java looks ok in the dark but in the sun it's a bit too bright. Was thinking Pacifica but the polished one with white wheels on looks a bit purply so might scout around other manufacturers shades too. Ford State Blue is another contender too, hmmmm well I have plenty of time to decide lol.

I think that white 2k rims will look cheap and polished will look a bit more classy but its your car.

i had one of these, they are quite rare, i fitted a 140bhp 1.8 zetec lump and stripped interior out.
i then took it to santa pod and ran a 15 sec quarter! thats standard cosie times!!
it only set me back £140 for the whole car too, lol

On another note, I and the fez are still alive (touchwood) and still waiting to sort a few things out, meanwhile I update you with lights! Although the 2-tone looks awful, it's not AS bad now haha.
