Tuning 1.6si

Postby timcolman2 on Sun May 06, 2018 9:37 pm

Hi guys. I’m pretty new to this forum. I’ve just recently bought a mk3 fiesta 1.6si. I love fiestas. But I wanna try and get more out of the engine without doing an engine swap. I’m finding it very difficult to find any information on this. Could anybody help me. Links to threads or videos would be very handy. Or even links to places I can buy performance parts would be good too as I can’t seem to find many. Thanks in advance.

Hey,

Good choice of motor in the Si there!

On to your question, you can turbo it but its quite costly, can only run small boost and is very very limited by the tiny inlet ports and valves.

Best bet is a swap to a 130bhp 1.8 or the 2.0.

Hope that helps a bit bud.
