As Toby said James, its the original part from the factory. All windows, sunroof, front + rear lights (the original rears that are in my box of bits not my smoked ones) and whatever else was stamped from the factory has it on there from what ive seen so far :)

Postby - Danny Boy - on Fri Feb 18, 2011 8:25 pm

Hey guys, been a while since I updated this, nearly an exact month to be precise! I wasn't going to update it today, was going to next week with even more progress I had made, but I couldnt hold back lol.

Lets start with a list of whats happened since the last update.

- Replaced both anti-roll bar drop links.
- Replaced both lower arms for brand new ones - not camber adjustable or polybushed, as thats for a later date on another set.
- Replaced the ford lower arm bolts with new high tensile stainless ones.
- Replaced aux belt.
- Changed rocker cover for spray painted one.
- Fitted sprayed throttle body onto inlet.
- Fitted sprayed exhaust headsheild.
- Fitted K&N bananananananaaaaaa pipe and filter with the painted maf back on to the car.
- Fitted painted stut tops.
- Sprayed radiator fan housing.
- Fitted sprayed engine hooks and other nuts and bolts that was sprayed.
- Replaced fuel filter.
- Snapped ball joint pinch bolt.
- Started to underseal the car - pics of that later this week/next. Wanted to inclide it in this update next week lol.

So, onto the pics yes? :)

Lets start with this one, got this taken going into ford fair, not the best pic as the angle makes it look funnily shaped I personally think lol, but still, its one of the car to add to the collection lol.

Onto progression pics.

Got these through the post, but havent fitted yet:

Re: TTF Si - Small update, couple of new parts - 27/02/2011

Postby - Danny Boy - on Sun Feb 27, 2011 7:38 pm

Only a small update, not alot of progress on the car as I have been busy with things and the weather has been pants too.

I'll save the current car progress for a later update so I can just do it all in one.

But for this update, I popped over to the isle of wight on saturday (yesterday) to see family and also to meet up with Jon (FRSJON) to get a couple of bits.

Got myself a FRST spoiler, some pop out rear windows and a 2nd rear anti-roll bar. So, obviously the spoiler will be painted up and will replace my standard rubber painted one as all the paint has cracked from I guess heat and flex, who knows. The windows will be changed over obviously, and the 2nd rear anti-roll bar will be cleaned up, painted and polybushed.

Thats it for the update.

Couple of pics.

nice, the pop outs were bit of a pain to fit i found, are you going to tap the holes to screw the hinges on?

is the RS spoiler plastic then?

i didnt have the correct fittings for the hinges, had a look in my sisters ka at her pop outs and see they were rivited, so i got the rivits, all the holes were already there to rivit on, and i already had the right size threaded bolts for the handle end. just luck that i had the bolts really. had them both fitted within 30mins :D

 you tit Jony. Did you not know they need to be riveted in? Silly :P should do some research before you fit them :P

I dont know what the spoiler is made out of, but its seems much more sturdy than the normal ones.

tapped the holes and used self tappers, but they didnt go as tight as id have hoped, so now they can squeek with movement

i may one day tint the rears to a light tint, so when i take them out to do that i can amend them

Sup guys. Thought I would update my thread as its long over due. Some of you will have seen what I have been upto on the world of facebook.

So what I have been doing recently is just getting rid of the little rust underneath the car that there is, and a fair bit of painting and some under sealing and generally cleaning up the car.

I shall let the pics do the talking. Enjoy.

Crappy pic of the under seal. Will get better soon:

Sanding down process of the wheels began:

Then came the curb marks:

Then came the filler:

Who can see whats on the news paper?

Oh yeah! More of her later ;)

So then it was time to get the garage ready for spraying:

Then the painting process began:

First few layers of paint:

After a fair few layers of paint, and then lacquer, i moved onto the spoiler, strut brace and roof strips. Dont worry, we will come back to the wheels later :)

Peek-a-boob:

Yep, thats a colour coded strut brace! Wanted to be different:

Back to the wheels! Dont worry about the tyres, new ones are coming:

While it was in the air, i couldnt resist to see a trial fit:

Poor pic of the roof strips on:

Reflection - car isnt even polished:

And one of the mascot:

Should have another update tomorrow :)

Thats strange. They are linked from my facebook, but that shouldnt cause any problems as I know a fair few people who dont use facebook can see them.

Hmm. Try this: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set= ... 5592c1a90a

It says its a public link. If that doesnt work, ill upload them to photobucket especially for you :aviator:
