The T2 down pipe came in the post today, Powerflex hangers ready for stainless exhaust system. Also picked up some goodridge hoses for when cossie brakes are fitted.

I also ordered the fiesta Rs Samco boost hose kit in black - have to wait till after new year for samco to re-open before i get them.

Cheers

Go to fords and ask how much standard jobbies are new ?

I got roose water hoses and ancillarys in black anyway so i don't mind a bit of samco under the hood.

i was gunna run a standard frst cam in my rs when i rebuilt it, untill i was told the cam was £145 plus vat just for the cam :o

even the guy in fords advised me to buy a after market cam like kent, even though i had thought of that about 0.234445 seconds after he got to "plus"

im wondering if it is still possible to rebuild a cvh turbo engine using all genuine ford parts, I bet there are quite a few bits which are now obsolete.

Not to mention the total cost of it with vat

i dont see the point in rebuilding the engine to std when you can get huge power gains for not much more money £1200 for 130bhp or 200bhp for not much more

i know what i'd go for get a t3 in there as well you wont regret it :D

mapping cost aside, i could of built a zetec turbo engine for the same cost as it cost me to rebuild my FRST cvh engine, and belive it or not it would of been cheaper to insure through re-grouping etc, but i didnt want to get away from what the car is, a T2 running FRST, and being on the isle of wight i dont need big power, just low down and mid range is more than enough, plus im getting old now :bonkers: and days or racing about are gone, ill leave that to the saxo boys

plus my engine will produce as more power than standard now, and have more power than a 60k rs engine running a T3 due to being nice and new as engine lose power with wear so im happy with what i got.
so thats my reasons for it :)
