Superchips for 2.0 non turbo

i got a superchip on ebay the other day but when i fitted it the car would not idle. the car would fire up but i would have to rev it over 3k revs to keep it running. my car has 2.0 mondeo engine with fast road cams and pulleys, exhaust filter ect. the listing on ebay said it was taken from a 2.0 1996 mondeo. i thought it would work and give me a little extra bhp. would i need to uprate the injectors or is it because of the cams it dont run or will it just not work full stop? please can anyone give me some advice???

could be the chip isnt from the car stated, or it might not be compatable with the ecu your running

1996 is the mk2 mondeo iirc, and you would be running a mk1 mondeo ecu for a 2.0 conversion, so it wont work.

The chips are ecu code specific eg.deep/desk/dewy
