Re: rsonblackwheels Fiesta RST, updated 12th April

Postby rsonblackwheels on Sun Apr 12, 2009 10:49 pm

elo i have an up-date at last been real busy moving house so its been slow progress

Image

ohh lots of bits

so after the Omex went on last summer i'v been collecting bits for the classic T3 Conversion to make some more power as i had maxed out the T2 hybrid

out with the old  the turbo technics T25 had served me well for about 2years and never missed a beat even ended up making 18psi when the omex went on

Image

Image

ready to fit

Image

Image

the airtec frontmount intercooler and turbo cooler ment for an S2 Escort RST both finished in matt black and even came with all the silicone hose i needed

Image

hybrid 'stage 3' T3 turbo from CR Turbos including .48 housing, -31, 360 bearing cut back blades the usal stuff, also got some braided water pipes made for it :aviator:

Image
Image

in it gose after having the usal rad to actuator clearence mods

Image
Image

the 1st fit up of the airtec frontmount, didn't have to chop the front bumper but i want to see more of the 'cooler in the end

tryed the turbo cooler in a few places 1st but after a chat with rs1800dom i decided on behinde the o/s headlight

Image

also had a S2 Escort RST down pipe modified to fit and heat rapped by Kester at Tourque of the Devil when it was there for the remapped

Image

and this is how it looks at the min, sorry its a bad pic but its all been abit rushed, i'll get some better ones tomorrow

the 1st hybrid T3 let go in a cloud of smoke :x just after the remap but CR Turbos sorted it under warrenty, so its been in bits more times than it needed to be and now it makes 215bhp and 220 ft/lbs but the clutch started to slip when on the rollers (techne clutch strike again lol) so there is still lots to come after fitting a paddle clutch

it was brifley on the road befor the 1st T3 blew its oil seals and its a riot to drive, of boost its nice with some chatter n small chiiing from the baily dump valve but when you get some boost at about 3k its awesome when it gets traction it flys gr8 fun

soo, abit more testing tomorrow :D then castle combe if everything gose well, that should sort that clutch out

some better pics to follow

bring on the trumpets!, bring on the wheel spin!, bring on the recovery truck?

erm i think they are about £70,but i got a deal because i bought the intercooler at the same time and also didn't need the rad fan as its already running a kenlow

when i spoke to Airtec they also said that they are devolping a turbo cooler for the Fiesta RS Turbo and in there latest adverts in the usal ford mags its says its 'coming soon'

that might be worth a look

yep, really needs a smaller plate, hopefully get one at central day this weekend and then proberly mount it on a plate tilter (a JDM fav) below the intercooler to scoop up some more cool air from down low for the 'cooler :)

will also get some standard plates at the same time as i'v been stopped by the police twice already in it and its only been on the road for about 2weeks!! And they only want to know what i'm doing, where i'm going, routine stop ect. so i'll have to keep a standard/legal front one in the car so i can change it over if they ask, to avoid more £30 tickets
