The air vent gauge mount is simply an air vent thats been stripped and a uber thin slice of mdf glued on top. The brackets are mointed to the internals of the vent, and mdf cover made to fit. I only knkw as we did it together. As Ash has said to me, he prefers it with the almost natural effect of the lifting fibres to the carbon effect he had before. And now I see it again, I must admit I agree with him.

rsonblackwheels wrote:Then at the end of November 2006 i was driving back from southend (sarrrffend) cruz and after having a play with my m8 in a DC2 integra Type R i noticed a rather load Tick coming from the top of the engine. combine with what i fort was a piston slap noise on start up and 108,000 miles on the trusty old CVH. It was time for a re-build

Oh dear me and my m8 Dom did manage to get the half out thow with a stud extractor

so i had the new KP Racing pistons
ARP bottom end bolts
and the block its self was overhalled new core plugs ect.
the head has been CNC polish and ported and had piper double valve springs
and the compression ratio is now 8.0 to 1
all carried out by Mike Tanski at farriday enginering
I'v also fitted a Newman billiet race cam and solid lifters ( a lil noisey but worth it for the revs ) along with a piper vernier pully
I also had the gear box re-built with a quafie ATB LSD and a AP uprated clutch

I'v probarly forgot some of it but my spec sheet aint to hand at the min

i then had it set up at Torque of the devil and it made 173.4 BHP & 174 lbs/ft at 1bar (15psi) of boost which i'm happy with

i then fitted some nice willwood 4 pots and bigger discs to match the new power

at castle combe RSOC day pretty much as it looks now but i'v taken the rear window stickers off

shes of the road for the winter now and i'v just removed the fule tank for a clean up and the rear beam is off for rear discs and powder coating

PLANS
still saving for stand alone management
green bumper strips and the origonal RS Turbo boot decal
T3 conversion at somepoint
front mount intercooler
strut braces and roll cage

just a small list but i dont thinks it would ever end lol

Hey all Just wondering What are KP racing pistons? Never heard of that make, are they forged pistons? how much would a set cost and what kind of power can they cope with?
