I'm not popular enough for PM's! heh!

When you say no notifications? Do you mean the "0 new messages" link at the top or popup windows?

Popups are turned off for me, but yeah, says 0 new messages regardless of number waiting to be read. I suspect tapatalk is the cause tbh.

Incidentally, still can't reply using tapatalk, comes up with an odd SQL error still.

Send me a PM Andy. I'll see if it shows it on mine. What browser are you using?

Normally chrome, but that shouldn't affect something that's a PHP generated bit of text. :) If it were CSS related then, I'd have my suspicions (following on from previous comments re chromes css handling) but in this instance I think it's probably tapatalk notifying me of the message that's causing the "0 new messages".

When you see an unread message in Tapatalk, but don't open it, does it still show as unread when you click on 0 new messages?

Yes. Which is why I wondered if tapatalks polling of the inbox (assuming it uses existing apis) clears a new message flag somwhere. That's the sort of thing you'd do to reduce sql server load, rather than query the message count every time, just query it when the new message flag is set.

I'm not sure this is the case though, it could be a trigger in a stored query clearing that flag or something to do with the fact I can't reply to PMs through tapatalk.
