Just do it, should give it a decent run and give them a shock as a 1.1 Fez still isn't ment to be that quick.
I had fun with my 2.0 once as I saw a corsa with the above mods, came to a dual carriage way and it was pretty even.
Pulled up not long after and found this guy had a 2.0 converted corsa, had a good laugh as a thought his was a 1.2 and he thought mine was a 1.4

02/09/06 - Update! Sticker fun
One thing I've wanted to do when the engine conversion was complete, was to get some new Popular Plus decals made up, or, if possible, make them myself. I didn't know whether the original ones were still available from Ford, however I didn't want them in the original colours anyway.
I have some plans to change the look of the car slightly (very subtle being a sleeper!), however I wanted to keep with the black on white theme in the way of trims, decals etc, so when I had the chance to make use of a vinyl cutter today, I decided to have a play
Unfortunately though, I had to do some work for someone else with it this morning, so I didn't get the chance to draw the lettering out and therefore make it perfect, so just decided to very quickly make do with a very rough font that had a remote likeness
It's very hard to take pictures of the vinyl as it is immediately after being cut, but I've made an attempt here:
This is the first bit I cut out (the outer bit that wasn't needed peeled off):
And then with the inners peeled off:
Like I said, it's not a great match, as I didn't get time, but I don't think it'll look bad at all. I have a few to play with and see how they look anyway
Next up was one of the Popular Plus ones. This one is the outline one:
And with the solid one too:
(The masking tape is to peel the lettering off just in case anyone was wondering )
I think the solid one looks better with the outline Fiesta, and is similar to what Ford did themselves with some of the later MK4 Escorts.
Now I could leave it at that, however a few people have suggested a couple of different ideas.
I could have just plain 1.1:
Or, I could have 16v:
Orrrr, I could have 1.8:
(I took the photo with the 16v still there, however I think it would look a bit too busy!)
I think the 1.8 alone though, makes it look like a diesel. Think it would have looked a lot better with 2.0, but unfortunately I fitted a 1.8
And to the picky ones - I know the original order on the Fiesta was like so:
... but I didn't think it looked so good that way.
Anyway, I'm liking the 16v one with the solid Popular Plus, so at the moment this is what I'm likely to try. It's not permanent, so if I don't like it, I can try something else (I've made a fair few!) or I can put the badge back on, we shall see
Comments?

How big are they? I hope they are a bit smaller than standard.
Get a new ford badge on the front/rear as well

Nah, they're about the same size.
I'll see how they look tomorrow after I get the suspension on
And I will get some new badges at some point, but I want to sort the bodywork out really first, which includes probably replacing the bonnet as it's a bit out of shape

Oooh. I'm not sure if that's what I want to get yet though... I really want to help keep it cool, as even though it doesn't get as hot as some Zetecs, I'd like to help still if I can!
But if not, I'm well interested Might have to get it painted though as I swear my car was a bit whiter when I came over?
Will have to do that again sometime soon too

Cheers The actual swap probably only took about 3 whole days total as a couple of the days I only started in the afternoons, and one day was rained off!
The Popular Plus bit is going on whatever (I'm actually doing it now!), but it's just deciding whether to have anything after (like 16v etc) or leave it as is...
I've just put the FIESTA bit on, and I'm just about to put the Popular Plus bit on, and I'll see how it looks

Yeah, I did think about that. When that 16v badge turns up again, I'll use it as a template

Been playing with stickers again
As seen earlier in the post, the air intake pipe is stickered up as a 1.6 90 one, which it obviously isn't. The 1.8 one I had was not only damaged, but the sticker was pretty worn, so didn't look very nice.
Sooooo... I thought I'd make use of the vinyl cutter again
One sticker removed and de-sticky'd:
Note the camera just top of shot - I would have used it except the memory card is lost on my desk somewhere, hence the cacky phone pics
Two strips of cut vinyl:
Removed all the bits of the black vinyl that weren't needed:
Then placed that on a white piece the same size and shape as the original, and then fitted in place
(I know it could be better centred, but I wasn't thinking and it got stuck before I realised - I have more though if I want to try again )
Intake pipe back in car:
I left the power bit off as it's only the 105PS engine, but I doubt I'll stick to my plan of leaving it standard for too long anyway, so thought I'd leave it open to change

Nope, just the use of one
If I did have my own, I'd definitely spend a lot more time making them more accurate, but I always get to it late in the day and end up only having 10 mins or so to use it... But never mind, it's not a bad job I don't think

Looks very accurate
Liking the whole idea, but as Chris says, get a pea shooter tail pipe that points down. You could still have a full stainless system made up with large diameter pipe, but juts have a normal tail pipe welded on

Steve - You said you didn't want any
Guy - The system is actually just a standard Si 16v one, it's just brand new hence the shinyness The tip is just welded on with three spots, and behind it is a slightly smaller tail pipe, which looks just long enough to look normal - so the plan is to remove it sometime in the future, and it should look a lot more subtle. I don't want to get the pointy-down one though as I had one of them for the last 6 years and I REALLY detest it no matter what the car is I wouldn't mind if the exhaust cut-out in the valance wasn't there...
Cheers peoples... Lot more to come yet though

Going to say If Iw as to get another fiesta I would get a 1.1 and 2.0 it then get a 2.0 16v badge.
The resaon is people will laugh when they see it and try yo prove something, then cry as they realise the badge is truthful
