"OFFERS"

Postby Capri on Fri Dec 29, 2006 1:05 pm

It has been brought to my attention that there is an increasing number of people who are advertising items for sale with no price, but 'offers' written instead.

To quote from the buying and selling rules:

Don't put "offers" when selling an item. This only wastes time when people offer an amount that is too low. If you don't know how much an item is worth, take a little time to find out the going rate.

If you do post 'offers' without at least a rough price guide for what you're after, you risk having your post locked, and being asked to repost with a price guide listed. Not only that, but you'll save yourself hassle - if you put 'offers' on a for sale post, the likelihood is that you'll have smart alecs like me posting silly offers such as 'Fiver and a packet of cheese & onion?' up on your post  So just save yourself time and post a price on your For Sale posts.

Thank you!
My name is Alex. I used to have a Capri. I don't anymore. But I'm still called Capri.
