Evening people

I got a little bit more done today

Repaired half of the inner sill now will do the other section when I'm working on front end

Also wanted to just get the 1/4 panel on so it looks car like again

I also prepped and zinc coated the entire inside of the rear 1/4 and bonded it around the fuel filler cap and around the arch so should last a bit longer I hope now it's properly sealed :)

Right I managed to get a day on the fiesta today.

Finished the work on the inner sill, I'm not happy I couldn't find a whole new one but its rot free and solid now, spose thats the main thing eh

Was very grotty at the front, so i unpicked the wing, I'm not changing the wings as they are original but need to make the bottom piece up as it had some nappy rash

So then I thought I better look at the inner floor/bulkhead corner :o

Looks a lot worse than it is to be honest, it's been done quite well from underneath but they plated over the old rust! :x :x

Image

No, don't do this! :x

I started to chop, grind, clean and slowly getting rid of the old rotten steel, so I think I can make good of this section.

I also removed the bracket for the subframe as the old rusty floor was sandwiched between the new bit and the bracket and i didn't want that!

This could easily turn into a full on nut and bolt resto, but I have enough of those to do for customers!

As long as this one is free of the old rot and solid, finished to a nice standard I'm happy

As i left it tonight

New plan! all that lot above I cut the lot out :o will start again, I wasn't happy how they had repaired it and plating over rust had pitted the fresh steel so I'm looking for a body cut for that corner and the other side if anyone is breaking a 3,4 or 5 fiesta :D see my wanted add.

I have had ill health hence why I've not been on here nor done anymore to the fiesta so I'm selling it

It's not changed from these pics

It has log book and service history, handbooks etc

Starts and drives but no tank or exhaust in at the moment

I want £1500 for it still needs work but most do :)

Not bad price for a moondust silver one

Genuine ford rear 1/4 fitted etc see thread

Interior is one of the best I've seen really really lovely :)

Pity its not being finished. And if i could personally see how much it would take to get the car finished, i would probably buy it. Have cash waiting etc, but im worried for throwing cash down the drain without seeing it. Ps. im currently working in france, so unable to "pop round" and see it lol

Is there not enough pictures in this thread? :-?

The car needs outer sill fitting drivers side, repair to a pillar, floor section front corner, and drivers side new outer sill, repair to inner sill, a rear arch, and a repair on a pillar, it's well worth doing and the worst of the work is done as you can see.

If you need more pics let me know :D

Create a proper advert in the Cars For Sale section, more people look in there than the project threads so you'll get more interest.
