Well it is very standard and unmolested and has a proper nice mint interior and it drives double well so thats a start

But I got do sills, rear arches and a few other bits, then I think I will just chuck a set nice wheels on it and enjoy it :aviator:

I recognise that number plate. I

Im sure its been for sale a few times in the past on various sights, not 100% but it might have been one of the cars next to mine at the 10th Anniversary at Donnington Park.

Might even have been in the romford area a good few years back :)

Thought id seen it around Romford. I think i knew who owned it then , a lad whos dad bought it for him. He used to drive it around the "Romford Circuit" now and again.

If my memory serves me correctly, it had a very slight different shade of front wing, cant remember if it was left or right one tho!!! :D

i remember this car, someone of the sight owned it, it had a funny plate on it, read something like G4ema or something like that, that was there user name aswell.

they were trying to sell it and it got hit in the snow a couple of years bk, needed a door and few other bits, sadly it got listed as a CAT-C which lets it down :(

my silver K-reg FRST came from sittingbourne, but 4 years ago som cant be the one the other fella is talking about

Yes I know the car is a CAT D not a CAT C!

CAT D is very minor damage, i.e it was only a door, I have bought and sold tons of salvage cars in my time and some CAT D cars should be a C or a B believe me! proper hard hit! :o

I restore old fords for a living, I own and run Medway RS Centre,as some of you know :) yes the car has rust issues but this doesn't faze me at all, it isn't even that bad.

It drives real nice, is unmolested and the interior is spot on, and being a CAT D hardly affects the value one bit,it doesn't even get a v5 marker.

It is well worth saving, so thats what I'm going to do :D :D

I have enough experience with all manor or RS's to know of so many that have proper sketchy histories their owners know nothing about :o

But this is the way it was back in the day, they were being crashed and rung sadly left right and centre :x

At least I know apart from a door the car and panels are the originals so I got a good base to start with.

Thanks for the info and keep an eye out for the resto thread

Know what you mean about sketchy history. When i was looking for mine over 10 years ago there was loads that were dodgy, heard all sorts of stories!Lots of owners thinking there cars hadnt been damaged until i told them otherwise.

Looks a nice car mate, looking fireward to updates
