Mk3 Fiesta RS 1800 **Update 26/5/11**

Postby Bkjames on Sat Feb 26, 2011 8:10 pm

As some of you know my dad has a M reg Fiesta RS1800 he uses the car every day for work but a few months ago a bloke at his work drove in to and damaged the passenger side rear quarter and light! my dad got payed out through the insurance and he decided to get the car repaired and he also knew he would need to add to the repair as there was a fair bit of rust appearing around the fuel cap!

We took the car to a garage to have the rear wheel arch replaced and the rear quarter sorted but we got a call from the body shop saying the rust is worse than first thought!

So today we went and collected the car and my dad has decided to restore the car so we are going to strip it and get all the rust sorted and the whole car resprayed!

So far we have collected a genuine ford front drivers side wing a genuine ford passenger side inner wheel arch and a few brand new bits of body kit

The car is standard apart from Fiesta ST front calipers disc's and pads, Zetec S rear axle and Zetec S rear drums and Escort RS 2000 Wheels and a magnex stainless exhaust

Here some pictures of how it looked when he first got it

With the RS 2000 wheels fully refurbished

Can see the rusty arch here

Will update once we make a start striping it

Small update 26/5/11

Have managed to source a brand new genuine Ford wing (which wasn't cheap) but better to have genuine stuff than pattern panels

Also managed to source another ECU after having trouble with the one in the car now
