Mk3 1.1 compatible brakes?

Postby harleyfish on Fri Apr 27, 2012 1:14 pm

i was thinking of getting some deisel mondeo brakes ( non abs) and modding them to fit.

is there anything else better that would require roughly the same amount of work?

my master clylinder will be replaced with a mondeo's anyway to run them

Do a search of the forum. Its one of the most asked questions. There is a FAQ thread with a brake upgrade section explaining different upgrades and work needed to fit them if any.

mondeo diesel brakes are only 260mm, for the work needed to fit mondeo offset discs id not bother, and either go for RS2000 escort brakes or mk5 fiesta ZS brakes, as theyre all 260mm

or jump straight to 280mm
