I hope you got the car cheap! I'd be shocked if your paying more than £300 for machining and labour

I'll let you know when I get the actual cost. I've got a price "window" at the moment.

Re: Project "K80" ZT - Shell Stripping (10/06)
It's about time I started getting on and doing some work to this shell so today I started whacking it with the sharp end of a screwdriver, no joke. Decided to start at the back and work around to the front
Not much going on here...
Number plate screws aren't in the right place, here's why. Oh and I made a hole
Hello hole
OEM mudflaps have given up after all these years
Moving to the n/s sill, not much going on here
O/S sill, reasonably clean but a strange bit of crumble to fix there, and a large "palm sized" scab just about visible further up
Random dented centre chassis rail
Although looking ugly, the rear beam mounting area seems to be solid, other side has been patched previously though. (both pics of "good" side)
To the front, those very horrid rusty wings, well, they don't seem to go too far so I'll have them cut out and plated. I don't think it's worth replacing the whole wings just for this...
This one was quite a nasty surprise though surrounding the n/s bumper bolt
The rest of the front end. PAS cooler definitely requires moving.
This backs up the paperwork that the car was previously owned by a woman
All those bits are hopefully being cut out and welded this week, along with the o/s front wheel arch behind the tyre in the water trap, about 2inch by half inch I whacked out of there. Overall it's not bad, considering the age/mileage/external condition of the car it's fairly minimal on rust. Certainly much better than the 5dr
In other news, thanks to Steve (rs220bhp) again I now have more parts to move this along. New tinted windows, wind deflectors and a pro-alloy intercooler. The intercooler was a stroke of luck as it's the only one I kinda like the look of, it's a nice medium size.
Difference in window colour is more apparent side-by-side
