I hope the last 3 letters was BHP so everyone thinks its got 80bhp and they dont realise it has about 200 on top of that
Sadly not, just my initials lol. I was thinking about K83 but then if I swapped the plate to another car it'd be meaningless. I had planned to use that money for a gearbox but it's no longer available, another will come along soon fo sho.

Is that because your one whines a bit?

Sounds beautiful though, almost has a straight cut sound to it! lol

Not as such, more to do with the fact it probably won't enjoy 250bhp+ put through it

Stg2+ in mine, Not sure what will happen!

The reg on mine before M4 XWW was N82 DTM which I thought was pretty cool anyway.. the car was destined to be fast :Q

I've only just fully understood the plate, so  why was the first one called Katie anyway?

My first Fiesta if you can remember it was a silver mk3, reg number was K129 LMT, K to T so it was known by many as "Katie." Since the overall appearance hasn't changed much other than colour scheme, the name has kinda stuck with it.

Beautiful picture, thanks. Wrong thread though :P

Other updates today....

- Went to the scrapyard and got a sump off an Escort, full of crap though so that'll be fun.

- Been down to the engine builders to sort out what's what, priced it up, made sure we were on the same page, hopefully being internally built at the end of the month

- My expensive piece of paper telling me I now own "K80 WDL" has arrived.

Engine's coming out and the pop-out windows are going in probably before the end of the month :)

Some other parts I can think of that aren't in the pics:
- XR2i Front bumper
- Pop-Out rear quarter windows
- Turbo oil feed
- CVH Manifold adapters

:Q :Q

be carfull with them gudgeon pins, they aint that easy to put in, the pin is norm cooled right down and the piston heated then there pressed in, and there is always the rosk of piston damage when doign it yourwelf, so be carfull mate, or pay a compnay to fit them, i did when i done my engine, the guy that bored the block removed the old pistons (10 tone of pressure needed to get old pins out) and fitted the new ones on the roads, charged me £40 for that, but he made a good point, if i fcuked a piston, i had to repolace it, if he fcuked one, he would have to replace it, that was enough said

I do, but it's not competitive enough at Santa pod, and it's gonna cost me a lot more to take it to a similar level

Started taking stuff apart now and doing some of the smaller jobs whilst I'm stuck waiting between big jobs.

Pop-out rear quarter windows are in, pretty easy in the end:
Image

Also means these are available if anyone wants them as a freebie?

Various other stuff going on including having the ignition and door lock barrels refurbished:

Ok as far as I know. They've gone a little brown down the sides though.

Jony, plan is to have all the windows redone. Boot is next, door windows after, then eventually a heated windscreen.
