Fiesta turbo inner sill panels rotted. Help on what's best.

Postby Ballsdeep on Tue Oct 23, 2018 8:51 pm

Hi there I am on doing some welding work on my fiesta rs turbo that has stood garaged for 14 years and never moved. Since being stood the normal panels have gone. I am on putting new sills in but the inner sills are shot so far up. I have cut off up to the floor. Is there anywhere to buy a inner pannel for the mk3. I have seen them for the mk1 and mk2. Anyone made new peaces to go in there with sheet metal and if so how did they best go about doing it. Any pictures would be good. Also the box section is rotted we're the 4 axle bolts goes so I will be having to make a new box. It's not shot but getting thin. I want to get it all done and not just send another off the road.

Just like to add also why can I not find much in the way of repair panels on the mk3 and mk4 compared to all different panels for mk1 and mk2. It is ridiculous.

outer sill are easily available from ebay and very cheap. galvanized ones are the ones to go for.
inner sill only options are to get a plate and weld it up. again go with galvanised for the repair to last.

what method did you use?
