Fiesta mk3 2.0 16v Blacktop Zetec Turbo project

Postby joynt2002 on Tue Mar 13, 2012 11:43 pm

Hello, like i said in other posts i started a new project, a 2.0 16v turbo engine into a Fiesta mk3 . The first problem is the inlet manifold...does the 1.8 16v inlet fits the 2.0 Mondeo black top head ? The exhaust manifold i will make it myself but i am stuck at the inlet...I cannot find the Rover inlet and the only solution is the 1.8 16v or the 1.6 16v inlet manifold. Do you have any idea if the 1.8 16v is perfect fit to 2.0 16v head ?
The second problem is the water pump...what water pump should i use and what mods i have to do ?
I will take some pics to show you the proress next days...
Thanks in advance !

alright mate.

as far as i know the alloy inlet from the silver top will fit the black top, but do not get a 1.6 one.
you want a rs1800 one, the rs1800 has the biggest ports, and has HO on it, the rest have SO, so make sure you get a HO inlet.
the throttle body should be from the rs1800 also, if not, get a 2 litre mondeo one and mod it, theres a guide i done for this in the guides room.

the sandwich plate for the inlet, again make sure its deffo a 1.8 sandwich plate, all 1.8 sandwich plates are the same on the silver tops so your get one of them easy

water pump wise, use the std black top pump, but your need to mod a pully on there to run it the right way.

i would PM knuckles for pic's of this as hes just about to do it to his, and bought a couple bits off ebay to do the job.

if you get stuck finding the part and doing what needs doing, i could always make something up for a price

Do you have a complete RS1800 inlet for sale Jay ? And if you have more parts for my project make me a list and PM and i will reply with the parts i need. Thanks again for your efforts.
PS i will use megasquirt ecu, than i don`t need the idle valve on the inlet....in rest it could be complete

i dont have one for sale mate sorry, although i might have a spare sandwich plate, would have to check if to see if its a 1.8 or a 1.6 ones, but im sure its a 1.8 one other wise i would of though i would of dumped it by now.

the ISCV is nothing mate, easy to come by and not worth that much so wouldnt worry about.

however, if you dont need one, your need a blanking plate for that aprt of the inlet, again, its something i could make up for ya if needbe
