Apparently it is shorter and I can put that in if I want as the bolt pattern is the same I will have to change the cable mounting bracket on my mtx75 tho as they use different cables

its good you sprayed it in etch primer as it won't need sanding down for paint!

ye mate i have only done this purely for protection as it was bare steel. it still has to have to small bits of welding done, then filler, build primer, guide coat, "maybe filler depending how it is" base coat then clear.

Thanks for the positive replies guys. All is going well. Mounted the rad and inter cooler up today and they mount on the originally sierra mounts smack bang in line with the fiesta slam panel. So the cosworth yb will slot straight in as it would in a sierra with no problems the only thing that will need to be custom is the propshaft. Going to be 2wd as 4wd is just too expensive when it comes to parts... Especially updated gearboxes etc! It's going really well don't know why ford didn't make them like this anyway lol

If ford made them like that there would of been no more rs fiestas left. It will be very exciting drive thats for sure. My 1 series bmw hatchback was awesome fun its the whole short wheel base rear dive thing. Even the butt ugly mazda mx5 old version are so much fun with the rears being just behind your arse . Good luck mate and have fun cos there will be lots in this little thing. Respect fella 8) 8) 8) 8)

It's a fiesta rs turbo! Restored with all genuine panels.. I couldn't find fiesta floor pans tho so used sierra ones
Instead :) still has the fiesta vin in the floor. ;)

The sierra wasn't a cosworth it was a 1.6. But the fiesta was my rs turbo. In a way the project just kind of spiralled and once it was past a point of no return! If I had my time again I would of just used a 1.1 shell but the rs was rotten hence the acid dip and replacement panels in the 1st place. It's all good I'm happy with it. It's staying on the fiesta reg for me! I'm never going to sell this anyway so it's not like I'm going to sell it on to someone.
