way i do it...

-wheel off
-remove pinch bolt, (liable to snap or round off the torx end of the bolt)
-drive a chisel into the opening where the pinch bolt was (this allows the ball joint to slide out easier)
-remove the other two arm bolt

TIP if your stuggling to remove or insert the ball joint, and youve already openned up the clamp and tried spray lubricant. try jacking up the hub, basically your pushing the shock absorber back up to its normal on road position, reducing the angle of the dangle of the arm

on a ramp this method takes about 10mins a side

found it easier 2 remove the lower arm cradle.

as when the car is jacked up all the weight of the brake and caliper is on the lower arm, and i found it hard 2 remov the nuts and bolts.

but it was a piece of pisss to do with the whole cradle off the car.

i also reccomend new nuts and bolts for the lower arms :D

I personally don't touch the track rod end, there's no need.

Looks ok to me Al, although you forgot to mention the need for colourful language and regular cups of tea.

Seems good as i did mine a couple of months ago, tho with the car back on the ground, tightening up the bolt on the back of the wishbone, where u have to wedge a spanner in the top to stop it turning as you torque up the underneath nut, is a complete bugger on a lowered car. Unless you're fortunate enough to have a set of ramps. Would say its adviseable to have a mate on hand
