Brake upgrade

Postby Oliver xr2i on Sat Mar 12, 2016 8:02 pm

Hi guys ! I converted my 18d fiesta into xr2i zetec 18 and i need to upgrade the front brakes. Would you demand sierra cosworth front brakes or something similar ? Preferabbly without any alterations.

Escort Cosworth setup is definitely the best & most cost effective upgrade mate & I think theres a fitting guide in the guides section :D

Focus st170 calipers should fit upgrading to 300mm discs but you'll need 16" wheels and may need to trim the front wheel arches if lowered

I just put some fremax high carbon discs and ebc yellowstuff pads on my 1.6si. Very good combo no pad fade yet. With the eurocarparts pagid pads there would be fade after 2 heavy brakings from 70mph to 20

Hi-Spec used to do a kit for the fiesta which just bolted on.

There's several opinions about the company though, I'm happy with my brakes.

Bought them try Mike Rainbird at r&b motorsport back in the day.

He also has most of the conversion brackets for going to cosworth brakes.
