Re: brake mods
There's always a few sets on Ebay like this for example
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-SIERRA-C ... _500wt_949
If you have a look in for the sale section they pop up from time to time also. DANIELP1991 has got a set of st24 one's for sale which are the basically the same.

Re: brake mods
Also if you are going to fit big brakes the mondeo mc/servo upgrade is recommended to get the best out of them

Definitely, if you alter the size of the pistons then you're having to move more fluid - so you get a crap pedal, really soft with little braking until you get halfway (in some instances the pedal might be at the bottom!). Upgrading the MC to oen with a larger bore will get you a hard pedal but the servo may not be man enough to assist, so you have to press like f**k to stop Best to do both like the man says.
Nothing to see here...

Re: brake mods
I've driven with several setups
Escos 4x4 calipers with escos 4x4 discs (278mm). Need spacing on the caliper(not the best imho) hence you need room behind the alloys (minimal 15") and possibly spacing of alloy. Result: less centring hub
Escos 4x4 calipers with mondeo discs (278mm, but less ofset .. the disc needs 4 to 5mm spacing) hence less centring hub.
Currently i have:
ST150 calipers and discs, 280mm no spacing at all. Only minor adjustment needed to hub as caliper has bigger mounting surface. The adjustment was to make the flat mounting area on the hub only slightly bigger by using the angle grinder. This does NOT affect strength of the hub as it is only 1mm thinkness on some 5mm wide area.
All inbalance is gone, due to not having to use any spacing.
I have also upgraded the rear with RS2000 discs.
I havem't upgraded the master cylinder. This is noticeable, but with bigger brakes you don't want them to lockup as locked brakes don't do your car any good. There is NO spungy feel at all just a slight longer travel, but a great Pedal feel / brake feel leving YOU in control of the brakes in stead of the brakes in control of you.
ST170 brakes use the same caliper as the st150 brakes, only a different bracket to overcome the extra 10mm in radius (20mm in diameter) .. therefor the same goes for the mastercylinder. you could but you don't need to change it
St170 calipers (at least the brackets) require drilling of the holes in the hub from 10 to 12mm, so once fitted there is no way back (without swapping over the Hubs)
I've even seen bigger brakes on fiesta mk3's but that's absolute irrelevant, and only needed if you are going track and thrash is hard there.
