BOOST PROBLEMS

Postby METEOR CHRIST on Mon Feb 20, 2012 12:26 am

I have fiesta RST EFI has standard TURBO but chip 195, 701 injactors a good camshaft and PISTONS Forge and 1.1 bar of boost the problem is from a few days ago-the boost shows only 0.5 and i can boost no more because you start cutting where previously cuts(boost limit) if I add more from 1.1 the question is why im see only 0.5 bar of boost all of a sudden?

Sounds to me like the chip, actuator or boost control valve has snuffed it mate although I wouldn't know how to diagnose it have you tried disconnecting the battery to reset the ECU ? I would also try taking the chip out and putting it back in again could have wiggled loose?

At 1.1 bar you are really close to the standard t2 limits anyway. But I would suggest that you either have a dodgy actuator spring or a boost leak of some kind. Have you checked all your boost hoses for tightness etc.
