After having a little discussion with another member, I thought a Trouble-shooting section on FT would be a good idea. We have the knowledge and technical data available to make this happen.
Making LOCKED threads specific to one type of area IE: Engine/Management/Brakes/Suspension etc, with just information on the layout, a few How-to's and typical Questions and answers regarding the area.

For example,

CVH Engine
Technical Info
How To's
Questions & Answers/ Troubleshooting problems.

Too many posts in the technical section of the same nature are very common and hopefully having something like this would prehaps create less clutter. Would be nice to have another little section to the site, will be a great place for Newbies to start so they can get to know their car inside out before undertaking any work/modifying. Any thoughts?

i see a slight floor in it liek any great idea, people not bothering, however, if done right i see no reason why this wouldnt work, just like the mod section, if the tech page opened into a sub menu rather than into a room right away people would have to look at what room they wanted and maybe, just maybe, would look in the info room first.

im all for it, as you know i spend a lot of time in tech room, and the same questions do come up a lot, ive seen the same question asked by 3 different people 3 different in 1 week, thats getting behond a joke imo

Like I said, we have enough technical knowlegde and data between us all to make it happen. Would be a nice addition to the site, and having Read Only threads will keep it tidy.

I think it would be a good idea, if it was subrooms like Engine, brakes, etc.

I reckon people would make more of an effort to look for what they are after rather than post another post that has been made many times before

I find the 'Search' doesn't work that well most of the time, so doing it the way Mike has suggest would make it far easier

great idea, but doesn't necessarily have to be forums, it could just be a thread like the "complete mk3 faq" (http://www.fiestaturbo.com/forums/fiesta-mk3-the-complete-faq-vt85327/)

in fact, perhaps that thread could be incorporated into this? I certainly haven't seen wywywywy on here in ages, so could do with a more regular member looking after it...

ive just had a very quick look at that, not bad, but with that there people wouldnt bother looking.
i got a post in tech saying, "got a electrical prob, look here first" and its been there a while
then i see new questions asking about problems which relate to electrical problems...
some people cant be bothered to look, if they put in there thread, ive looked on so and so but still aint sure blah blah blah, fair enough but when i look at there thread, its a simple problem which the one i made up would sort.

I think this is a good idea, would help people like myself who are not as knowledgable. But it would require alot of work to get it going however once up should be a good addition to the site.
