Imobiliser is fine. Just you have to use the right ecu (its listed in this topic the right ones) and you wont have a problem.

i made a start today taking all the crap of the mondeo engine i.e water pump, old tensioners, timing belt, plugs, leads etc etc and fitted new so no i just need to bolt on power steering pump and alternator, im looking forward to getting the engine in, im hoping it will be fast and pull well, ive spent time modifying the 2.0 throttle body to increase the air flow so fingers crossed itwill be running sat when i go for it

I remember geting all excited when doing mine! What clutch are you planning to use? I used I 1.6 sports one but its already started slipping abit when excellerating hard out of 30 mph zones in second ect, had the engine in about 6 months.

Anyone know of the best clutch to use if i have to change mine?

This may seem a stupid question. For any guys with a 2 litre convertion.

In the 2litre convertion do you use 1.6 gaskets with the 1.6 oil pump/water pump and sump or do you use 2 litre gaskets.
or are the gasket on the 1.6 and 2 litre the same ?

Good question, I think I used the 1.6 items but they were the same/ very similar to the 2.0 items. Was a while ago that I did it though.
