1800 ZETEC MK3

Postby grandman on Wed Jul 06, 2011 10:08 pm

Hi All,

Will a silver top or black top ZETEC just drop in to a MK3 Fiesta? Which box should you tie in to this a ib5 or mtx75? Will all running gear just fit in place and which clutch should be used...

Regards

theres a guide on the conversion on this site just have a look in advanced search.

it can be done i have a fiesta 2l blacktop engine out of mondeo

with ib5 gearbox and black diamond clutch.

i think mtx75 gearbox is found in transit vans and rs2000 it has bigger bearings and is slightly stronger.

but on n a engines i doubt you could destroy one with out serious tuning

silvertop's easiest with an older bc box or ib5.
