Zetec Exhaust manifold

Problem or technical question?

Zetec Exhaust manifold

Postby jeek on Tue Nov 09, 2004 9:10 am

The chromed pipes that come out of the exhaust manifold have snapped on the T section. Can these be replaced or do i need another manifold?

Any help would be great
! :D

sounds like the pulse air system to me. not too sure if it'll run without it.

Are you talking about the pulse-air system that has the 4 pipes that go into the manifold? If you can get to take them off, you can get blanking plugs like I have done. I cant remember the Finis code for them but i'll try and find it for you.

It can run as just as well without it, as its job it only to inject air into the exhaust system to get the cat up to operating temperatures quicker.

this is wrong mate.
the motor pulls air from the exhaust manifold throught the filter then puts it into the inlet on cold start up.
this was for emmission purposes but its not needed for the mot.
