RS = blue, that's why!

Just seems strange to go completely RS with the engine, interior, wheels etc then leave the most obvious and striking RS part standard.

Cant wait to see the finished article!

The Brazilian lights look good I think.

You say you'd rather keep your flare than spray it blue, but does that mean you're going to spray it another colour, OTHER than blue? :P

"spray it blue"

why does everyone say spray it imperial blue id rather stick with me flare thanks

interior will be one of the first things done most panels are trimmed in black/blue alcanatara black leather and are done and ready to go back on headlings sorted dash needs to be redone in balck leather with the stiching FIESTA RS embroided on it

rear floor will have a custom made carbon fibre floor made for it

Have to say I agree with the colour scheme really! Why always do whats the done thing when you can be different? The embroiding is good aswell and make it really stand out! Maybe the Recearos that the Foci RS uses re-trimmed in silver with falre stiching and the Fiesta RS done the same aswell but alternate cross stiching with Silver and Flare?

Engine mods as Ade said the Skys the limit but please before you go spending the money make sure what you want for the car is there, and make sure its used for a chosen purpose i.e Quarter mile car, Top speed or just a mentally quick road car! Or get the best of both words and have all 3 at compromise as of the above!

Was wondering how those 8x18" Foci rims fitted and wether there was much fettling to be done with the arches and kit to get them on?

My tuppence worth! :D

How have you ended up with a Fiesta RS?

Its a Mk6 Fez with a turboed zetec in it that just happens to come from a RS car.

Still says its a normal fiesta on the log...like badging up an XR3i as a RS turbo just cos it has a rs turbo engine in it.

Bet it shifts like. How much does the car weigh?

Well if it's got an RS engine in it.. it's an RS turbo..

XR2i - engine
RS turbo - Engine
1.6s - Engine
1.6 si - Engine

they don't call em "popular" engines, or "LX" engines..

Not on the log book.

And besides, calling it a Fiesta RST would imply that Ford actually made a mk6 FRST.

Its like saying if I stuck an Si engine in my fiesta, it would make it an Si. Hardly.

Anyway, blindin car 8) Obviously gonna be a mag feature when it's finished.

IMO the car as it stands now is exactly how Ford should make the Fiesta RS (if they're ever going to make it).

Basically - get in the car for the first time and you should go 'whoa' as the boost kicks in a bit, that's what it was like for me when I test drove my Fiesta RST (running about 180bhp or so).

I really like the neat install that's been done on your car Simhopper - I'd be absolutely chuffed with what you've got if I were you (even if it did cost the earth - you got a money tree in your garden?!?!?!? ;))

Back to the Fiesta RS point - I don't think Ford should even think of making anything with less than 180bhp - it just wouldn't cut the mustard! I'd also rather the power plant used be with a turbo than revving the nuts off a n/a car (might be fun on the track but try driving a car like that on the road - I hated the Civic Type R I test drove for exactly that reason!).

Have fun driving it Sim - you lucky baxtered!

Cheers,

Andy

embroiding

Bugger that. Strip the interior, and hillclimb it!

Sweeet idea. Nice conversion. Top job!

Now just make sure you don't stack it in to a tree within the first 7 days.
