I Think I Know What My Next Car Is Gonna Be.....Opinions?
I always wanted a CRX Del Sol for my next car, just to take a break from fiestas, and then get a 2i or RST after it.
But I think I'm gonna get an AX GT next......I don't like the standard appearance of them, but I think you can make them really nice......
What is your opinions on them?

Fast as standard, handle well - just dont crash it or sneeze in it cos it will fall apart
Mate has had 4 now and loves them to bits

I love AX GT's, had one as my first motor a couple of years ago. They look mint after a bit of moddin'
Very fast (for a 1.4 N/A), and handle brilliantly with a few tweeks.
Lower it, and fit adjustable shocks, mine had koni's and if you have the front a bit softer, it'll eliminate understeer. A strut brace makes a noticeable difference.
Then slap some 15"s on, with 195/45s might need a tiny bit of arch work 'cos of the tyre width
Then a piper X filter (with custom air feed) and get the 2nd jet drilled out, along with a nice exhaust (and manifold) 100bhp is easy!
Only weighs 720(ish)kg so it'll keep with 'faster' cars fairly easy

Just my opinion mate but i hate AX's and most citroens in general! Dont have a crash in it cos you'll be lucky to get out!
Wouldnt say there 'fast' either
Nippy through the gears and thats about it, Deathtrap springs to mind!
If you have to get another car before an RST then a Jap Del Sol would be the best out of the two.....................................But why not save yourself some money and go straight to an RST

TJ :No! I never said that!
Any particular reason for just adding Citreon AX to your signature?
None, other than the fact that I own one, and I forgot to put it on in the first place. Do you have a problem with that ?

chumkila :bowdenj - chill dude.
The annoying thing is that I'm here cos I quite like Fiestas (or Fords for that matter), and I am experienced and qualified enough to give a valid and subjective view on most cars.
I would expect the same from others. I agree that the Ax build quality is not that good, but I could say the same for Fiestas, compared to an Audi. What does it gain you to criticise as inanely as calling someone names?

Theres a teeeeney bit of a difference between a Audi and a fiesta.
Brand new Audi £13,145 - Cheapest Audi
Brand new Fiesta 11,995 - Most Expensive Fiesta
You cant compare German build quality to a fiesta.
It goes like this...
Skoda-Cheap VW
VW
Audi-Expensive VW
Audi's are in same leagues as BMW,Mercs,Jaguars,Saab,Volvo.

You missed the point, I said Audi because I didn't want to say Ford cars (seeing as lots of Fords are built in Germany)
By the way, the build quality of all VW / Audi cars is the same, the fact that the badges are different has no affect on this
Audi's marketing puts them in the same league as BMW / Saab etc
