Fiesta 2.0 SI trackcar/road car
I am testing the water with this as I might keep it. I have owned the car for roughly 1 year now but it has been off the road since august. Before I owned it my mate had it for 2 years and problems wise, its only needed a throttle cable, battery and a flexi-hose. I always loved this car and it was only because of an incident I got my hands on it, I had a 2.0 escort at the time and planned on using the fiesta as my 2.0 trackcar so I bought it and used it until the MOT ran out, then garaged it and let the work commence.
The incident: My friend was driving towards a set of traffic lights on red and as he slowed down, a flexi-hose burst and he rear ended the car in front. The damage is not bad, it had a dent in the bonnet and the SI bumper foam (on the back of the bumper) has been cracked aswel as the bumper thread sheering off. Also the slampanel has a slight kink in it so the bonnet latch does not lock the bonnet (Re-alignment should cure this, I was going to use bonnet pins anyway).
Engine
I carried out the 2.0 conversion back in September and the car has had no road/track use, the engine was taken from a Mk1 Mondeo and had covered around 75k miles. It had a cambelt kit and clutch kit fitted less than 8k miles ago and a full service during the engine conversion. It uses the correct management (a DEEP ECU) so runs exactly how it should. I also fitted a 2.0 Focus inlet manifold to save using the very restrictive 1.6/1.8 items, it seems to be a very worth while mod aswel as the EGR being removed, plus it also has a set of Champion motorsport HT leads. A K&N filter will come on the car and not the Viper as seen in the pics.
Suspension/Exhaust
The car has been fitted with Spax PSX 14point adjustable springs/shocks that are in excellent working condition. Since the SI comes with ARB (Anti-Roll Bars) at standard this combination gives great handling. The car currently has a cat-back Magnex semistainless system (centerbox removed) and a 3.5inch Magnex backbox.
Brakes
The brakes are standard items but use drilled discs and greens stuff pads. The discs have seen better days but I think they just need a good clean since they havnt been used in awhile (also the drilled holes need a clean). The rear brakes are standard and need seeing to, the cylinders are leaking.
Gearbox
Using the standard IB5 gearbox that gives an excellent ratio, uses has a newish clutch (Less than 8k miles old).
Interior
The car will come with standard fiesta seats (Not SI wingbacks) and currently has no doorcards. The car also has a set of white dials and sparco footpedals for that extra ‘racer’ look and for the added luxury factor, it has a heated frontscreen (need connecting).
ICE
A Clifford Concept 300 CAT 1 (Thatcham approved) was fitted that should reduce your insurance. The alarm when new cost £475 fitted.
Exterior
Has a smoothed boot and relocated rear numberplate aswel as RS2000 sideskirts and to set them off a treat I also have a set of 195/50/15 OZ Titan alloy wheels all with legal tread. A Mk4 aerial has been fitted after following a guide, and the Mk4 interior light had been fitted but later removed. A set of RS Accessory rear lights (Not genuine) have been fitted at the rear. The previous owner decided to fit SI front arches to the rear, so they need a proper sprayjob doing on them and moulding them in.
The car was trailer’d to PECO for a rollingroad power reading and made 128bhp (Was 8bhp down from standard on a 75kish engine using a very restrictive inlet manifold. The current set up it has now should see 140-150bhp).
Bad bits and info
Tax has ran out and is declared ‘off the road’
MOT has run out, I am confident it will NOT need a lot to get it road legal. The underside is free from rust (The car has never had a plate/section welded) and the underseal has only just started to off. The rear brake cylinders are leaking and will also require rear shoes. The car is in need of a set of wishbones, I bought a brand new set when I was expecting to go on a trackday only to find they don’t fit. Since the slampanel is slightly kinked the headlight aim may need adjusting aswel as the bonnet needing to be re-aligned so it will lock. The emissions will fail as a 1.6 so needs to be tested as a 2.0 Mondeo to pass (Still has CAT etc). Has a vibration inside the car when it idles, this has only happened since the engine swap so could be a warn/not seated mount. There are obviously a few scratches here and there from over the years but nothing major that stands out like a sore thumb. Everything else seems intact and should pass an MOT no worries.
Good bits and info (additional)
I had the O/S rear wheel bearing swapped just before the car was taken off road. Everything else has been listed above (good and bad) and unless iv forgotten to mention it – Its all there being 100% totally honest
Just to re-cap alittle, the car was never used on the track/race and has only been driven as a 1.6 (Before August 2005). I have known everything about the car in the last 3 years and carried out the conversion myself (Also done my escort). Since it was to be a trackcar only I was not concerned about getting it MOT’d but checked the condition of parts etc for failure or signs of it. This car would be ideal for the track or if not to be returned back to the roads as with a little bit of work could look stunning.
As said this is only to see if there is any interest for it and the reason for sale is I am buying a non-complete kitcar as a project and to use the 2.1 zetec turbo am building. Its lighter, better handling and RWD so is ideal for the engine. I would love to keep the two cars as this has been my baby, but there is no need for two trackday cars. I am after £1000ono so please contact me with any questions you may have

The car is a Nreg 3door SI in Ashblack. The car has covered around 97k but you would never of thought it by visually checking underneath etc and I can see NO welds underneath (i.e VIN panel, arches, sills etc)
I can include the following with the sale to help:
Mk3 Bonnet with RS2000 bulges, needs a respray but would look sweet fitted - I have never seen this done before.
Original damaged bumper.
XR2i bumper in black (rattlecan jobbie by another owner)
Fiberglass SU bumper copy with H4 spotlight holes (Not an amazing fit but looks hard as fook, like a rally car - Sprayed Ashblack like the car).
Maybe some more once I have a think
The car comes without:
Morrettes
Cossie brakes that I never fitted
Viper indution kit
Bucket seats/harness's
Some pics may be dated - I will add more once I locate them

Went to the garage today to take some pics of her, it was raining so you may be able to see raindrop in the photos. I will update the list of parts that comes with it also. The bonnent is on the latch thats why its raised, I have all the centercaps for the alloys and the rear quarter window tints need removing fully (fitted to the outside, not by me) - Oh and not that I condone it but the car is still classed as a 1.6 on the V5, the new owner will need to get this changed unless they dont want the DVLA to know about the engine swap
I also have some video footage that I will edit in later

You always see these cars when youve gone too far, lol! Just got myself a 2.0 engine for my conversion. Are you selling the other bits, like the induction kit and cossie breaks as i'd be interested? Also, what is the egr and is it esily removed? Cheers and soz for slight hijack, although free bump!
Just because I keep talking about definetly doing it doesn't mean I'm actualy going to do it.

Dont worry about it, the other bits like cossie brakes etc will be used on the kitcar hence why am keeping them. The EGR removal is easy to remove/fit as its basicly 4 sump plugs screwed into your manifold, theres a guide on how to get them/fit them too

Cant belive nobody has bought this, I got tempted last night but I fancy a Cossie or maybe a kitcar like a mk indy or even a tiger R6, but obviously I need to sell mine first.
Anyway, I went off on a bit of the tangent there, what I'm trying to say is:-
Buy this car!!!
£1000 for a 2.0L track car!!! Bargain!!
