uprated 2.0 cams
ive been wondering if uprated 2.0 cams will fit and run a 1.8 fine?
considering the standard 2.0 cams are an upgrade for the 1.8 with theyre higher lift duration

Re: uprated 2.0 cams
i think the exhaust from the 2.0 cams will work but in al honesty,, running rs1800 ecu on 2.0 cams makes it fuelly and lumpy on idle,, resulting in bad mpg and heavey peti smell,
sure some one will have more info though,, thats just things of i can remember being said on her

I have 2ltr cams in my 1.8, with a chipped rs1800 ecu and its good as gold.

Re: uprated 2.0 cams
ive heard the 1.6 ones even fit all of them, they provide lower down torque peaks apparently (inlet)

Re: uprated 2.0 cams
I've always thought one of the RS1800 cams was the same as a 2ltr cam anyway.

Re: uprated 2.0 cams
You will be right in that respect, but my mind had a fart. I remembered why I put that comment, its because the inlet cam on the rs1800 and the series 2 2.0 mondeo engine are the same, and the exhaust cam of the rs1800 and the series 1 2.0 mondeo engine are the same
