The more I look at it, the more impressed I am by it!!

We've all seen a lot of engine installations but I have never seen that done before! and it looks so factory as well!!
I demand 100's of pictures of the fabrication needed to fit that engine adn 6 speed box!

Also, is it idleing at 1500rpm?

AT last I get to answer all these questions!! Just been out on exercise all week-it's f***ing freezing!
Cheers for the great comments D

The black thingy with the white bit on is a remote brake servo which I had to use as the location of the ST170 throttle makes it impossible to use the original servo/master cylinder set-up and I wanted to use all the original st170 engine complete with ecu, inlet manifold and 6 speed 'box + hydraulic clutch as I hadn't seen it done before.

I did try it without servo assistance but it didn't have enough "instant bite" for our crazy roads now it stops much better. It also has wilwood midlites and 285 mm discs and the bias pedal box seen in the pics.

Haven't tried a top speed run yet but i reckon on about 135-140mph in 6th as the car has an estimated 180-ish bhp (has k&n induction, 4 branch stainless manifold, fiesta turbo magnex, no cat, Bluefin)

I was really lucky picking the parts up on ebay, I got second chance offer as the winning bidder sacked it! for £641 i got:
Engine, Loom, ECU, gearbox+ cables & gearlever etc, driveshafts and CV joints, engine mounts. All from a 2004, 20k miles focus st170 estate, got a hell of a lot of stuff for the same price as a flowed head and cams for a silver top zetec and it's all standard so should last too.

No it doesn't Idle at 1500 rpm, that pic was taken just as i started it from (very) cold and the auto-choke cut in, it sits at 800rpm nicely after a couple of minutes' running.

Hope that answers the questions, thanks again for all the kind words, Jim

To Prietzi, further to your question about the clocks:

They went in easy enough, you need them if using the 6 speed 'box as the speedo sender is electronic and drives the dash through the Generic Electronic Module (GEM). Otherwise you need to retro-fit a cable speedo set up to the box to drive an original Fiesta/escort speedo.

I had to remove a very small amount of plastic from the inside of the fiesta dash to allow the larger focus clocks to fit, I also had to trim off the plastic mounting lugs from the st clocks so that they could fit in the fiesta dash and re-fitted some of my own mounts made from thin aluminium.

The focus oil-pod still needs fitting somewhere too, all the wiring is in there-there's even a sensor under the car and a light on it to tell me when it's Icy outside lol! like I don't know that much already :(
