question about pin changes on 2.0 ecu
ok 1st of all BIG thanks to Jack The Lad for givin these to me !
--------------------------------------------------------
4 – connect to the wire that goes to pin 11 of the EDIS (to give the
tachometer it’s signal)
8 – connect to the wire from the fuel pump impact switch, on the Mondeo
wiring diagram it’s shown as connecting to the Auxillary Fusebox at the
same place as the impact switch.
13 – if you want the ecu to control the radiator fan use this pin to
ground the coil of the relay that controls the fan instead of the radiator
fan switch.
31 - if you want the ecu to control the second stage of the radiator fan
(or is there two rad fans on the RS1800?) use this pin to ground the coil
of the relay that controls the fan instead of the.
36 – disconnect as you will be discarding the external EDIS because the
Mondeo DEEP, DEWY, DESK ecu’s are internal EDIS.
51 – connect to injector #1 ground.
52 - connect to injector #2 ground.
55 - connect to the wire that goes to pin 5 of the EDIS (to give the ecu
the crank sensor ground).
56 - connect to the wire that goes to pin 6 of the EDIS (to give the ecu
the crank sensor signal).
58 - connect to the wire that goes to pin 10 of the EDIS (to give the ecu
the control of coil 1)
59 - connect to the wire that goes to pin 12 of the EDIS (to give the ecu
the control of coil 2).
------------------------------------------
see where it say ..." connect to the wire "
does this mean SWAP them or Join them ?
i know it might sound stupid and its all here in front of me ,, but still seems abit to hard for me todo ( im thick with electircs )
maybe someone could Explain in "simple terms" LOL
i REALLY wanna do it , but done wanna Fook anyting up
if wosre comes to worse ill pay someone to do it lol
(ps. sorry for Another 2.0 thred but its Really gettin to me )

Re: question about pin changes on 2.0 ecu
Taking the first pin listed, pin 4, you need to disconnect the wire that normally connects to pin 11 of the EDIS module and connect it to pin 4 of the ecu instead.Xr2i_2.0L_16v :see where it say ..." connect to the wire " does this mean SWAP them or Join them ?

I don't understand, mine just plugged in.
Is this for on a mk3 not 3.5?
Is this for on a mk3 not 3.5?
Those that can, do; and those that can't, talk about it.

yes you said.....
"Taking the first pin listed, pin 4, you need to disconnect the wire that normally connects to pin 11 of the EDIS module and connect it to pin 4 of the ecu instead."
so for example ... if 11 from the edis gose to pin 4 in the ecu ......
where dose the wire go that was in pin 4 in the 1st place ( or is 4 a blank pin ?)
