People are getting lazy, knowing that if they post in the wrong forum someone will move it. From now on topics in the incorrect forums *may* just be deleted, depending on content, poster, time of month, have you ever looked at a moderators post in an inappropriate manner etc etc. Make sure you post in the correct forum.
Allow me to draw your attention to this quote from the board posting guidelines at the top of this page.
For the past few months, I've been moving posts that aren't posted in the right forum. I did this in the hope that some gentle persuasion would help people to get the idea that posting in General to try and get more post views won't work, as your post will end up where it should have been in the first place anyway. I also hoped it would make those people who don't consider whether their post is going in the right place think a little bit more about where they were posting. It does get quite tedious to have to shift stuff over in order to keep the General forum less cluttered every time we log in.
We're not robots and we do realise that sometimes it's hard to know which forum a post should go in when it's a bit borderline. However, what does take the piss is posting stuff in General when it's quite obvious that it shouldn't be there - and I'm talking about stuff which isn't genuine car-related discussion, thinly-disguised adverts for cars for sale or wanted, and also anything which starts 'I know this isn't the right forum for this, but...'. If you know it's not the right forum, don't bloody put it in here!
As such, please be aware of the above quote from the posting guidelines. Anything which is posted with a blatant disregard of how the forum works is liable to be deleted or locked without warning. Obviously, most will still be moved if they're borderline or if it's less obvious which forum they belong in. We do this in order to keep the General forum free-flowing and less cluttered, not because we want to be pains in the arse (well, not always
Thank you for your time, and have an absolutely smashing day. Moan over.
Incidentally, before the smart-arses set eyes on this post, I am aware of the irony of this being posted in the wrong forum. However, I'm exempting this post because it concerns this forum and... well... it's mods' prerogative.
