Pirelli P6000 tyres

Postby knuckles on Wed Jul 04, 2012 10:37 pm

Pirelli have been discontinued the p6000 and replaced it with the P6

so now if you have had trouble finding the original p600 tyres
you cant even order p6000 :(

Not really a bad thing. P6000 started get worse over the last 2 years. Had them on my Cupra R and had 2 sets in the last year before I sold it as they only lasted 8k and most of that was motorway.

I found this out quite a while ago. I think the P6000s are a brilliant all round tyre for the smaller 13" / 14" wheels. It's very difficult to get these now as I can't think of anything that is still in production that uses 185/60/13 or 185/60/14 or 185/55/14 tyres.

I am sure we had a P6 before we had the P600 though.

I found the breaking point of the tyres came well before that of the car on the 172

hated p6000 on my xr2i when i had them, biggest waste of money on 4 new tyres that i have bought, if you even considered trying to corner hard they were useless, wont ever go for them again

still need to update this sig
