Everyone as different opinions mate with kent wearing out quickly same with piper. I have had both and the kent seem to be the longer laster. But everyone shouts about the Newmans. I will fit a newmans next but until my kent dies on me I will stick with it as I have no problems so far

My mate's running a newman cam in his ZVH and it's a brilliant combination. Requires solid lifters, however.
Nothing to see here...

Re: cam shaft fiesta rs turbo
my kent cam last just over 1100 miles before it wore out, ive heard others have had the same issue, so i ordered a newmans cam shaft.
i spoke to dave at newmans and asked him some questions, and i got more answer than i expaected, i was very happy with time he gave me considering he knew from the start i was just enquiring, and that customer service, combined with the specs of the cam made me sure i was making a good choice to go newmans.
kent cam's customer service was pi$$ poor imo and they were too quick to blame my fully rebuilt engine of straving the cam of oil, so basicly said it was my fault, wasnt happy with that rubbish, so would never recomend them to anyone.
piper, ive never had one, and ive heard good and bad about them..

Thats useful Jay, I was considering piper too but they have very average reviews in terms of improvement and longevity.

Re: cam shaft fiesta rs turbo
indeed mate, but i read and heard the same about kent, good and bad, and i went for the kent in the end as i heard less band things and well, my mistake clearly
but when it came to changing the kent one for something else, newmans did sound good, i hadnt come across any bad comments about them, and when i put a thread up about them the only negitve comment was it was a bit of hassle to readjust the tappets, or someone had theres and they needed adjusting every 6 months or something, but i didnt see that as any biggy really, no different to the cars in the old days where tappets were adjusted as part of a service, so thought yeah, ill go for newmans, and based on the fact i do about 500 miles a year in the RS, i dont expect to need to adjust the tappets very ofton at all
