My brothers actually bought me them from Performance trim a while back for my birthday! they were £75 on a special deal then. They have closed down now. Speak to Raj at Autoflock as he now has the template for them, they are around £120 now, and yes they are real Carbon fibre.

dont need carbon fibre just some black perspex ones would do for the front doors, and a set for inside the back arches / rear door area if it was a 5 door.

Cheers guys, yeah it sounds the nuts. Should be better when fully mapped on boost. I've been trying to keep 3 forums updated at once with this as I know some people stay on one forum.

I tend to find that if you don't own a cossie on PF they don't tend to bother with threads....they might need to re-think that once I smoke them on the track!ha ha

I totally agree with the what your saying about passion ford mate. I was commenting on a post the other day about somebodys escort who is over heating and pressurisinig. I just told the bloke to who had just replaced a rad to flush the system and give it a good bleed. The response I got off some nob head cossie owner was what do you know about engines you only drive an rs turbo. To which I said I have owned a cvh of some sort since I was 17 some 13 years and what I am telling him to do is what I have come across from my own personal experience and not just guess work from some arse who has never owned one. The response I got was mate I got a 600hp cossie and what I don't know about engines isn't worth knowing so go away and get yorself a proper car with a proper engine.
I just sat there thinking wtf was that called for and didn't reply. Along comes this numpty then for 3 more posts saying where have you gone now nutter got nothing to say trying to prevoke a reaction. I didn't reply. I had a message then off the chap who had the problem saying that he tried what I said and it worked. I mean why do these cossie owners think they know everything about everything and if you cars not a cosworth its not worth having.I will have the last laugh as he states in another post that he will be going to combe in September. I will be there in the skyline giving it the beans and will hopefully pass said nob head at full chat when is fragile little cossie lump goes boom.

I know exactly what you mean, I am of very limited mechanical knowledge and I am the first to admit it. But I have been a fiesta owner of some sort for 7 years with 2 years before that of fixing them and taking them apart. I see many posts/threads from people looking for help on PF, I don't bother generally as if you do you get ignored because I don't have 5000+ posts and don't own a cossie.

I gave up updating my thread on there for a while, if you want to read the fully updated version go on http://www.zsoc.com as I added a lot more pictures on there.

I hate passion s**t for that exact reason!

The car is looking good Adam! I saw it over on ZSOC as I go on there every now and then. It should go well with the mapping! Keep us updated on here of how it all goes :)

Dnt get me wrong, the vast majority are fine. It's just I don't feel many are interested.

Yes its a focus inlet, FRS injectors.

Thats the car finally got its first MOT in 7 years today, a few niggles to sort out with getting the speedo to work though. I am so happy after all the set backs I've had with it over the years and so many changes to the plan.

It will be at Ford Fair on Sunday if it doesn't break on the way down!It will be on the ZSOC stand.

Well sorry to anyone who was looking for my car at Ford Fair at the weekend there. On Friday I had a phone call to say that my radiator gave up whilst Si was tweaking the map on the dyno, it split at the bottom and we couldnt get a replacement quick enough. We also had some problems with the fueling, it was running lean and Si was trying to adjust it but it wouldnt work, so we think the pump is knackered.

I will have an update early next week once the rad is replaced.

Well after months of set backs and me needing to buy new parts, and of course missing Ford Fair again....
I had a text from Nick earlier,

It made 317BHP @ 16PSI on the rollers last night!! :aviator:

I should be picking it up on Friday so I can take it to Crail on Sunday,

Thanks for all the support guys. Was well pleased, and thats with a standard head, cams and GT25 turbo, magic.

Aye, I was pretty gobsmacked to be fair. They are probably still tweaking it before I pick it up, not as if its a high boost pressure so its not under much strain I wouldn't have thought. However if it needs to go much higher(which I doubt I would want due to driveability issues) I will get a hybrid or a GT28.

I will keep you all posted and will get a copy of the final graph.

I picked it up today so I could give it a shake down and test on the road for a week or so before taking it back for checking over and tweak if necessary. What can I say? well its bloody mental, rapid fast when the boost comes on(which is almost instant) it torque steers but its just on the limit of what is acceptable I think. Its very basic inside, noisy, hot and my drivers position needs moved about a bit but that will be done this week.

All I can say is 300bhp in a stripped out fiesta is a great laugh !!it was raining too which made the journey home quite "interesting" shall I say. The "hot" idle map needs adjusting as it wants to stall sometimes, Simon is aware and is going to sort it out when I take it back up.

I don't have any pics as it was raining and I don't have my camera anyway....

Thanks for the comments guys very much appreciated. :aviator:

Right, small update. Car seems to be running quite hot at the moment, fan on as soon as I stop and underbonnet temps quite high. As my DASH2 still needs setup(waiting on an adaptor lead for Laptop) so I can't see what the problem is. I have a new thermostat on its way just incase and have been thinking about a turbo cooler and also cutting back the front of the bonnet to allow more air into the radiator.

It is however still performing pretty well on the road, maybe a bit hard over some back roads due to the surface and the rear wheels scrub on the arches. Brakes are taking soem time to get up to temp but I'm running track pads so won't get near proper running temperature so not too bothered.

Checked Knockhill's website and I think I will go and annoy some French cars on Sunday 16th Sept at a hot hatch day! It needs its first oil change to fully synthetic as its done around 500 miles no between me and the dyno, so it'll get a check over for any leaks etc no that its had a hard time for a few days.

Right, decided I'd had enough of the car running hot. Took the thermostat out and checked it, it never budged a bit when in boiling water so its done....decided is run it without one for a couple of days to see if it made a difference. Tried tightening everything back up and I cracked the bloody housing didn't I?....so it'll be a full new housing, water outlet and thermostat tomorrow.
