your having a laugh aint ya! tiger seal!

no,. do not use tiger seal to put the green strips back on, use the double sided sticky foam tape like they do from new

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Double-Sided-Foam ... 3a57d43f40

as for getting the ripples out, try heat (no flames) and things like that, you will never get them dead right if they have been bent or twisted badly

tigar seal all the way for sticking out to anything.

Well you may want to remove them for styling reasons or to repaint panels

so it makes sense to use the correct double sided foam tape. Which is still a nightmare to get off the bodywork.
you wont get tiger seal off paint work without a sanding disc on a drill which will ruin any paintwork

as already said heat is best way to flaten the strips. i tried a hair dryer and heavy objects.
the glue takes lots of patience.
White spirit / petrol to soften the glue and then use your finger nail to scratch it off.
or use a tool called a Toffee wheel on a drill bit to remove the glue without damaging the strips

go to b and q mate and get some no nails double sided sticky tape for outdoor use. its the perfect size for the stripes. and sticks very well and can be removed pretty easy.

I'd use the rubber sticky tape if you can get some rather than the foam. It doesn't swell up when wet then and sits a little closer to the panel. DO NOT use tigerseal :o  I've heard putting the stripes in a very hot bath then laying them flat with heavy books (or similar) works well.

Ive got a spare brand new set aswell :D
Tiger seal lol
As said hot water is the best way or putting them on a radiator,do not use tiger seal or sealer.
3M do a double sided tape that is really good but expensive and thats one of the only double sided tape ive had work and last and ive been a panel beater over 10 years so do this most days

tiger seal is just a bodge way of sticking them on and completely over the top

wtf...??

are you on something?, i mean come on, honestly, who the fcuk uses no nails to stick plastic side strips on..... scared has nothing to do with it, its common sense, i mean, you wouldnt use a JCB do do some weeding, why use "decent bonding material" when its clearly not needed and total over kill.....
no one said it wont stick them on, we just all agree its over kill, not needed, and clearly not the best stuff, and way of doing it, and you dont agree with us, which is fine, no need to spit the dummy out

and for your info, my fez isnt falling apart, but if it was i will be sure to get some no nails to keep it stuck together :bonkers:

first time no nails has been mentioned... why do an half arsed job when you can do a proper one???
as for a jcb for the weeding,it depends on what jcb product your talking about???
